Welcome to the Polymath Egg Hunt!

The Polymath Egg Hunt is a time-limited game that students can play on their Student Islands. When students that opt into play the game:

🐰 Every day eggs of varying colours will be hidden on their islands for them to find

🎁 Students can search for these, collect the set, then cash their treasure in for prizes

The Egg hunt will run ~5 weeks from Monday 30th March to Friday the 1st May 2026 (GMT +13:00)

How it works

• Students can join the Egg Hunt on their Student islands. If you don’t have student islands turned on for your classroom you need to turn this on. Read more about turning on Student Islands here.
• The next time your students log into their Student Island's they'll be able to find a new character (Hutch) on the island. When they chat to Hutch, Hutch will invite them to the egg hunt.
• Every day students can chat to Hutch and Hutch will hide 4 eggs around the student’s islands for them to find
• There are 24 different types of eggs to collect
• Different eggs can appear every day (and some are rarer than others!)
• Rewards are offered to students after they reach certain milestones in their collection
  • Reward 1 - after they have found 4 unique egg types
  • Reward 2 - after they have found 16 unique egg types
  • Reward 3 - after they have found all eggs!
• Picking up eggs requires brain power, so kids need to complete some math questions every day in order to get all four eggs!
